Touring
The Principal Theatre Company is delighted to announce that we are now
an international touring company.
In July 2001 the company was approached by distinguished actor/producer
Ivan Kaye, who was looking for a professional, high quality production
of A Midsummer Night's Dream to take to Bodrum in Turkey.
The Principal Theatre Company was delighted that Ivan chose our production
over all the other London productions of 'The Dream'.
After a 3 week run at Grovelands House, a cast and crew of 24 were flown
to Bodrum for one week to perform before Turkish dignitaries, celebrities
and Royalty.
Our hosts Greg Kiez (Global Networks) and Mehmet wanted a production
of 'The Dream' to help raise money for the Tay Archaeological Project.
The production was performed by moonlight on a stage specially constructed
for the production.

Some of the highlights were:
- Welcoming meal
on the sea front in Yalikavak with our host.
- Thisby winning
the Miss Gloria Hotel contest, and then being thrown into the pool by
two jealous fairies, Cobweb and Mustardseed.
- Performing by
moonlight and attending an Elizabethan Banquet hosted by Greg &
Mehmet after the performance. All of the cast and crew were invited
to the Banquet to eat, drink and be merry, and if they were feeling
brave enough to have their fortunes told.
- Making the front
page on the Turkish Hello magazine 'ALEM' and receiving a 10 page spread
on the event.
- A Farewell Meal
and beach party to celebrate the end of Summertime. All of the cast
and crew had such an amazing experience, and to finish off the week
with a fabulous beach party & farewell meal at a sea front restaurant
before departing for London really was a Dream come true.
