storytelling of a company eager to please their audience and
happily succeeding in doing so…”

comedy…hilarious….an exuberant evening…”

Time Out (Dream '06)

"A military-inspired Much Ado About Nothing, a magical
Midsummers Night's Dream, a tearaway Twefth Night and
a tempestuous Taming of the Shrew showed that our area
(Enfield) could rival the best that town (London)
has to offer."

theatre-hungry North London"

The Stage (Twefth Night)

The Venue - Forty Hall

Walk in the footsteps of Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, and a Lord Mayor of London. Take a step back in time and discover the unique heritage of this beautiful Jacobean Hall and Gardens once the home of Sir Nicolas Rainton, Lord Mayor of London - 1632.

Stroll down the great lawn opposite the Hall and imagine the Henry VIII's hunting lodge - Elsynge Palace - now an archaeological mystery only inches below your feet. Look back at the Hall and consider how Sir Nicolas used the bricks from the then ruins of Elsynge Palace to build his home.

Elizabeth I stayed at the lodge from
time to time.
Think of Elizabeth dressed in brocade as, it is said, Raleigh laid his cloak on the ground for her there.

Supported by the London Borough of Enfield
